The Environmental Research Station Schneefernerhaus participates in the PESPAT Project (Pan-European Study of Pesticides Atmospheric Transport), aimed at determining long range transport of agricultural pesticides.

Samples are taken at 31 locations in 17 different countries and are tested for more than 65 currently used pesticides. The project is organized by the Masaryk University, Brno (CZ), the Max Planck Institut for Chemistry, Mainz (D), the University Grenoble (F), University of Helsinki (FI) and the National Research Council of Italy.

At Schneefernerhaus, samples are taken during several weeks in Mai 2020 with support from the Bavarian Environment Agency and the German Federal Environment Agency.
