    With its unique location just below the summit of the Zugspitze, the Environmental Research Station Schneefernerhaus offers a perfect venue for scientific conferences, workshops, events, and presentations. Far away from the daily hustle and bustle and in the middle of a breathtaking alpine panorama, the Schneefernerhaus offers the special atmosphere of a modern research institution.

    Conference area

    • Casino (57 qm): a room for 30 people with a beamer and screen.
    • Lobby of the conference room (60 qm): for presentations, exhibitions, and a buffet.
    • Conference room Prof. Specht (144 qm): for 80 people.
      Features include a beamer, screen, window shades, dimming system, microphone, computer, WLAN
    • Conference room Gletscherstube (56 qm): for 25 people with windows on three sides.
      Features include a large screen, darkened individually, dimming system, microphone, computer, WLAN, telephone
    • Southern Terrace (82 qm): with direct access to the conference rooms.
    • Alpspitze room (18 qm): a seminar room for 12 people.
      Features include a screen (37 inches) including a computer and speaker, window shades, dimming system, WLAN
    • Additional resources that are available: Presentation accessories, notice board, lectern, flip chart with paper and pens, DVD player

     

    There is the opportunity to send and receive faxes and make a small number of copies in the 'Zentrale' of the Schneefernerhaus.

    The conference room Prof.Specht, conference room Gletscherstube and the Alpspitze room can be booked individually or together. The casino, lobby and terrace are all included in the booking.

    Catering

    Participants of smaller workshops are either bringing their own food, or can go for lunch into the restaurant 'SonnAlpin' ( "Accommodation'')

    For drinks during conferences the Schneefernerhaus offers a flat rate for drinks. Snacks can be ordered additionally.

    For big events with higher culinaric demands, it is possible to order food via the Catering-service of SonnAlpin. The UFS GmbH will take care of the logistics.

    In the Schneefernerhaus smoking is absolutely forbitten. There is only one spot at the terrace where it is possible.
